I recently got back from a trip to California. When I had started planning the trip I was unaware that there would be a drought or a cold weather snap, but I wasn’t going to let circumstances get in the way of getting some pictures. I traveled from King’s Canyon near the Sequoia National park to the coastal region stopping at Morro Rock and Moonstone Beach. Even in the midst of a drought California is a beautiful place.
I had some leftover pictures from my trip to New Orleans and the remainder of the album is a bit of a random mix. There are busking dogs, and street performers. There are samples of the beautiful architecture that makes New Orleans stand out. There was an impromptu wedding parade that we happened to catch marching towards Bourbon Street down Canal. There really is a vibrancy to this place that makes it stand out from a lot of the places I’ve been.
I’m trying to work my way into a blogging routine again as it’s getting nice out and there is plenty to shoot. My wife and I were recently in New Orleans and took a streetcar up to City Park. The park grounds are massive and sprawling and full of attractions. If you’re looking for a reason to get out of the French Quarter for a bit this might be the ticket.
